Basketball Recap: Erskine Academy Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Erskine Academy was the 58-50 winner over Leavitt when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Erskine Academy Eagles took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leavitt Hornets on Thursday.

Erskine Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. As for Leavitt, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Erskine Academy and Leavitt could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings. Erskine Academy (ranked 82nd) will meet Medomak Valley (ranked second) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Leavitt will challenge Lincoln Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 65 places (84 vs. 19).
