Recap: Valley Christian Trojans vs. San Tan Foothills Sabercats
The Valley Christian Trojans stacked a 17th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 75-41 victory over San Tan Foothills. The win was familiar territory for Valley Christian who now have nine in a row.
Leading Valley Christian to victory were Austin Wallace and Colby Jessup. Wallace scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks, while Jessup went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 1 assist. Wallace hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Grier, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why San Tan Foothills lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaylen Fulton. Despite the final result, he scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Dominic Monte, who scored eight points.
Valley Christian's win was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-2. As for San Tan Foothills, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Valley Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilbert Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,902 points over their last 24 games. As for San Tan Foothills, they will head out on the road to face off against Globe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Globe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday.
