Football Recap: Edgewood Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Edgewood Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 50-28 to the Monroe Academy Volunteers. The Wildcats lost against the Volunteers in their previous head to head back in September of 2017, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 53-0 score last time.

Edgewood Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Monroe Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewood Academy will host Abbeville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Generals have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Monroe Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Choctaw Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
