After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Pike, McComb was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Amite County Trojans as they made off with a 21-9 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Damiyah Walker, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two).

McComb always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .829. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got McComb back to even at 7-7-1. As for Amite County, they dropped their record down to 1-19 with the loss, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, McComb's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Franklin County at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.31 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. Amite County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
