Recap: Chanute Blue Comets vs. Schlagle Stallions
The Chanute Blue Comets had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.2 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past Schlagle, posting a 46-10 victory at home. Considering Chanute has won five games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Quinton Harding continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 280 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. Harding's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Kris Harding ii was another key contributor, throwing for 194 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes.
Chanute's win was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.1 points. As for Schlagle, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Chanute will face off against Tonganoxie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tonganoxie is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. Schlagle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
