Basketball Game Preview: Wheeler Bearcats vs. Andrean Fighting 59ers

Having just played yesterday, the Wheeler Bearcats will jump right back in to play the Andrean Fighting 59ers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Wheeler is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Hebron 55-20. The match marked the Bearcats' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Andrean took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 63-20 win over Boone Grove. Given the Fighting 59ers' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Wolves are ranked 394th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory was the third in a row for Wheeler, bringing their record for this year to 9-15. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points over those games. As for Andrean, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Wheeler suffered a grim 48-27 defeat to Andrean when the teams last played back in January of 2017. Can Wheeler avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
