Fleming Island wins going away against Auburndale

Recap: Fleming Island Golden Eagles vs. Auburndale Bloodhounds
The Fleming Island Golden Eagles entered their tilt with the Auburndale Bloodhounds with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Fleming Island enjoyed a cozy 54-39 win over Auburndale on Thursday. Given Fleming Island's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while Auburndale is ranked 506th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fleming Island found their leader in underclassman Carson Crawford, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Crawford's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Marcus Reed was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Fleming Island has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Auburndale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Fleming Island won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Creekside at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Hopefully Creekside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday. Auburndale and Suncoast will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at.
