Soccer Recap: North Lenoir Comes Up Short

North Lenoir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the East Duplin Panthers. While losing is never fun, North Lenoir can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 478th, while East Duplin are ranked 235th).

North Lenoir's loss dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for East Duplin, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7-2 record this season.

North Lenoir and East Duplin will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Hawks see the pitch they'll take on James Kenan at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for East Duplin, their break will end when they face Southwest Onslow at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th.
