Castle is 10-0 against Evansville Mater Dei since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Castle Knights will host the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Evansville Mater Dei is hoping to do what Boonville couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Castle's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Castle blew past Boonville 63-34. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evansville Mater Dei). They blew past Mt. Vernon, posting a 77-13 victory. Given Evansville Mater Dei's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Mt. Vernon is ranked 365th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evansville Mater Dei's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Castle, they now also have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything came up roses for Castle against Evansville Mater Dei in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 71-41 victory. Does Castle have another victory up their sleeve, or will Evansville Mater Dei turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
