Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canyon Springs). Their defense stepped up to hand the Chaparral Cowboys a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. Canyon Springs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matchups by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Chaparral from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Daniela Mayorga led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for five goals all by herself.

The victory was the third in a row for Canyon Springs, bringing their record up to 16-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Chaparral, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
