Volleyball Recap: Diamond Wildcats vs. Miller Cardinals

After flying high against Pierce City on Thursday, Diamond came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Miller Cardinals on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.

Diamond took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-15, 25-21.

Aubrey Ball paced Diamond's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ball got some help from Kenzie Crook and her 16 assists.

Camden Stockton was nothing short of spectacular for Miller: she had 35 assists and eight digs. Stockton is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 14 games she's played.

Diamond's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1-1 and their overall record down to 19-10-1. As for Miller, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 30-4-1.

Diamond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Miller, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Adrian on the 30th.
