Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Greater Atlanta Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Greenforest Eagles on Wednesday, falling 71-51. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Greater Atlanta Christian had strong showings from Mikey Carpenter, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 19 points, and Mario Hill Jr, who went 6-for-10 en route to 16 points. Hill Jr is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last six games he's played.

Greater Atlanta Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 24-7. As for Greenforest, the win (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 24-5.

Greater Atlanta Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. North Cobb Christian will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Greenforest surely won't give up without a fight.
