Basketball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Eastern suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2025 on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Marietta Tigers 80-43. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Marietta, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Eastern will venture away from home to challenge Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Tornadoes have now posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. As for Marietta, they are taking a road trip to face off against Fort Frye at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Cadets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
