Soccer Recap: River Forest Takes a Loss

River Forest lost against DeMotte Christian back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Ingots came up short against the Knights, falling 13-0. While losing is never fun, River Forest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 279th, while DeMotte Christian are ranked 118th).

River Forest's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for DeMotte Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

River Forest and DeMotte Christian are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Ingots will face off against East Chicago Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. River Forest will be up against East Chicago Central's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.77 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for DeMotte Christian, they will challenge Andrean at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
