Basketball Game Preview: Hidden Valley Titans vs. William Byrd Terriers

The Hidden Valley Titans will square off against the William Byrd Terriers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, Hidden Valley came up short against Salem and fell 60-49. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Spartans are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask William Byrd). They came out on top against Northside by a score of 55-45 on Tuesday. The Terriers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Hidden Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. William Byrd's victory bumped their record up to 8-16.

Hidden Valley was able to grind out a solid win over William Byrd when the teams last played back in January, winning 52-45. Does Hidden Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will William Byrd turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
