After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Central, Stryker was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Gorham Fayette Eagles with a sharp 12-2 win. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jacob Myers made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six stolen bases and four runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on William Donovan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Capps, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.

Stryker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Stryker's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-14. As for Gorham Fayette, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Stryker will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
