Mt. Lebanon took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Peters Township, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Mt. Lebanon sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 victory over Peters Township on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Devils have posted against the Indians since April 3, 2017.

The victory made it two in a row for Mt. Lebanon and bumps their season record up to 2-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Peters Township, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Mt. Lebanon will face off against Hempfield Area at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Peters Township, they will take on Moon Area at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
