Recap: Archer City Wildcats vs. Seymour Panthers
The Archer City Wildcats suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 69-30 loss at the hands of Seymour. Archer City lost against Seymour in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 47-30 score last time.
Archer City's loss came despite strong showings from Serenity Jones and Adelyn Harvey. Jones scored 13 points along with two steals, while Harvey scored three points. Jones hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Archer City has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Seymour, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
Archer City will head out on the road to face off against Petrolia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Petrolia is ranked 1002nd, while Archer City is ranked 1022nd). As for Seymour, they will be playing at home against Windthorst at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
