Hartford faced Burr & Burton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hurricanes put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-1 win. The victory was nothing new for the Hurricanes as they're now sitting on four straight.

Solly Flores was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Hartford's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Spaulding, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

Hartford pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Burr & Burton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Coming up, Hartford will be playing in front of their home fans against White River Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Burr & Burton will be paying especially close attention to the Hurricanes' contest: after the Hurricanes face off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Burr & Burton again at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
