Recap: Baldwin Braves vs. Westside Seminoles
After flying high against the West Laurens Raiders last Friday, The Baldwin Braves came back down to earth. Baldwin took a 26-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westside. It was the first time this season that Baldwin let down their fans at home.
Westside can attribute much of their success to Jessie Bell, who rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns. Bell is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Westside, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Baldwin will take on Griffin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Griffin will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Westside, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Howard at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Howard is ranked 189th, while Westside is ranked 185th).
