Softball Recap: Buhl Has No Trouble Against Mountain Home

Buhl barely beat Mountain Home the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Tigers on Tuesday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Adalyn Pearson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off ten hits. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kathryn Higbee, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Meghan Blacker, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Buhl's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Mountain Home, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Buhl beat the Tigers by a score of 7-3 later that day.
