Newcastle had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Sulphur Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 on Monday.

Tyler Frazier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lane Seaton, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Connor Leader also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Newcastle hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive contests.

Newcastle pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Sulphur, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season.
