Volleyball Recap: Lake Forest Takes a Loss

Lake Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vernon Hills Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scouts of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Lake Forest's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Vernon Hills, they moved to 7-21 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Lake Forest will face off against Libertyville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vernon Hills, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Niles West on the 10th.
