Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school football. America's source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2024 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

Zyan Crockett of Skyline (Idaho Falls) is the 2024 MaxPreps Idaho High School Football Player of the Year. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound junior helped the Grizzlies to a 10-3 record and Class 5A state runner-up finish.

Crockett was Skyline's leading receiver and rusher, hauling in 52 receptions for 939 yards and 10 touchdowns while running 107 times for 737 yards and 13 scores. He added a pair of TDs in the return game and completed 2 of 3 pass attempts for 103 yards and a touchdown.
