Soccer Recap: Sabine Takes a Loss

Sabine lost against Kilgore back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sabine Cardinals took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kilgore Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 574th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 254th).

Sabine's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Kilgore, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Coming up, Sabine will head out to challenge Pine Tree at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kilgore, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Spring Hill comes in on six and Kilgore on eight.
