Basketball Recap: Parkway West Comes Up Short

Parkway West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Hazelwood East Spartans and fell 78-40. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Spartans are ranked 77th).

Parkway West's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Hazelwood East, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkway West will square off against Kirkwood at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. As for Hazelwood East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverview Gardens at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
