Basketball Game Preview: Creighton Bulldogs vs. Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats

The Creighton Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Creighton got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They enjoyed a cozy 47-32 win over Bloomfield on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Hartington-Newcastle strolled past Walthill with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 61-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Creighton better focus on containing Cole Heimes and Austin Sudbeck as the pair were huge in Hartington-Newcastle's win. Heimes posted 15 points, while Sudbeck put up 15 points. The dominant performance gave Sudbeck a new career-high in points. Cole Rosener was another key player, putting up ten points.

Creighton's record now sits at 8-16. As for Hartington-Newcastle, their record is now 9-14.

Creighton was dealt a bruising 56-23 loss at the hands of Hartington-Newcastle when the teams last played on Friday. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Creighton was down 33-2.
