Recap: John Hardin Bulldogs vs. Owensboro Red Devils
After flying high against the West Carter Comets two weeks ago, the John Hardin Bulldogs came back down to earth. John Hardin was dealt a 65-38 loss at the hands of Owensboro on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss John Hardin has suffered yet this season.
It was another big night for Shalyn Sprinkles, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 0 assists for Owensboro. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sprinkles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyrica Hughes, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
John Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Owensboro, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Hardin will take on Grace M. James Academy of Excellence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Grace M. James Academy of Excellence's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games. As for Owensboro, Owensboro and Daviess County will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Daviess County is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
