Football Recap: Costa Mesa Piles Up the Points Against Los Amigos

While Costa Mesa put up plenty of points on Monday, the same can't be said for Los Amigos. The Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lobos 44-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Costa Mesa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Freeland led the charge by throwing for 172 yards and six touchdowns. The Mustangs' leading receiver Kassandra Ramirez was Freeland's top target yet again, picking up 53 receiving yards and one TD, while also punching in a pair of scores on the ground.

Costa Mesa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Natalie Hernandez and Ramirez were the leaders of the group effort as each produced two apiece.

Costa Mesa now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Los Amigos, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Costa Mesa has already played their next contest, a 26-0 victory against Estancia on the 27th. Los Amigos has also already played their next game (against Rancho Alamitos), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
