Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Centennial

Centennial put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Clint Lions by a score of 5-2.

Chase Sanchez looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025.

At the plate, Anthony Rodriquez and DJ Alvidrez did most of the damage at the plate: Rodriquez went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Alvidrez went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Mateo Marquez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Centennial's record now sits at 4-0. As for Clint, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Centennial will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Del Norte at 12:00 p.m. on March 7. As for Clint, they will square off against Bel Air at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
