Riley Williams posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, she produced her best game of the campaign: she struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Williams and Cincinnati Country Day will look to defend their home field on Monday against Monroe at 5:00 p.m. Williams had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their matchup back in April of 2024 16-1.
