Recap: Lawrence County Cougars vs. Mendenhall Tigers
On Friday, The Lawrence County Cougars''s game was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past Mendenhall with points to spare, taking the game 44-27. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lawrence County.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lawrence County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ahmad Hardy, who rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Hardy is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kannon Cato, who rushed for 72 yards and three touchdowns.
Lawrence County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Mendenhall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Lawrence County will take on McComb at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McComb is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Mendenhall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
