Flag Football Recap: Albertville Skates Past Pennington with Ease

Albertville won the last time they faced Pennington and things went their way on Monday too. The Aggies breezed past the Tigers to the tune of 33-0. Considering the Aggies have won seven games by more than 19 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Albertville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Henley Kilpatrick, who threw for 106 yards and three TDs. Aven Danne got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Albertville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Danne was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by herself. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Albertville's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.3 points on average over those games. As for Pennington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Albertville has already played their next contest, a 25-6 victory against Pell City on the 21st. Hopefully Pennington paid attention to the Aggies' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Aggies at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
