Baseball Recap: Columbia's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Columbia lost against Cole Valley Christian back in April of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Columbia took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cole Valley Christian. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Gabe Tanner put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Tanner was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Finley Stern and Parker Harrison stepped up to the plate in a big way. Stern scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Harrison scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Marcus DeLeon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
