Baseball Game Preview: Denbigh Patriots vs. Warwick Raiders

Denbigh hasn't had much luck against Warwick recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Raiders at 4:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Denbigh didn't have quite enough to beat Woodside and fell 9-8.

Russel Clark made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Blazek, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Warwick entered their tilt with Heritage on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Hurricanes with a sharp 14-4 win. Considering the Raiders have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Warwick's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Denbigh, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Denbigh suffered a grim 11-5 defeat to Warwick in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
