Highland entered their tilt with Madison on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 16-8 win. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 6-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Highland got a big performance out of Bailey Hill, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Hill a new career-high in RBI (two). Janae Whitehead also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Highland pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Madison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bobcats beat Highland by a score of 11-4 later that day.
