Crossings Christian entered their tilt with Newcastle on Friday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They took down the Newcastle Racers 71-56. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Racers are ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Crossings Christian's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points over those games. As for Newcastle, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Crossings Christian will take on Heritage Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Newcastle, they will host Washington at 8:00 p.m. on February 14th.
