White River Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the North Daviess Cougars on Tuesday, falling 17-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 16 in a row.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White River Valley will take on Greencastle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Daviess, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Clay City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
