Preview: Patrick Henry Patriots vs. Ayersville Pilots
The Patrick Henry Patriots will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Ayersville Pilots at 7:30 p.m. Patrick Henry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Ayersville is ranked 96th).
Last Friday, Patrick Henry was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-39 to Napoleon. Patrick Henry has not had much luck with Napoleon recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Patrick Henry's loss came about despite a quality game from Kya Seemann, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Weber, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Ayersville entered their tilt with Pettisville with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Ayersville walked away with a 50-38 win over Pettisville on Tuesday.
With Patrick Henry's win and Napoleon's loss, both teams now sport identical 2-1 records.
Patrick Henry was able to grind out a solid win over Ayersville in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 53-44. Will Patrick Henry repeat their success, or does Ayersville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
