BASIS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the DC International Dragons 63-24. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-51 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, BASIS still got an impressive performance from Timothy Chamberlain II, who posted 13 points. That was a full 54.2% of BASIS's points, marking the 15th time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DC International to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kai Hegwood, who went 6 of 8 en route to 14 points and three steals. That's the most steals Hegwood has posted since back in December of 2024. Jhalil Route was another key player, going 6 for 14 on his way to 12 points and five assists.

BASIS's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for DC International, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-13.

BASIS didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-13 loss against Washington Latin Public Charter School on the 5th. As for DC International, they have also already played their next contest, a 68-49 defeat against E.L. Haynes on the 6th.
