Softball Recap: Warren County Wildcats vs. Liberty Eagles
Warren County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Liberty Eagles, falling 15-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 back in March.
Warren County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Wrye, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Wrye also put up a hit, which was her first of the season.
Warren County's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Coming up, Warren County will welcome Sherando at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Liberty, they will take on Fauquier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
