After a string of five wins, Braswell's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Guyer Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Wildcats are ranked ninth).

Braswell's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 18-8. As for Guyer, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-6.

Braswell will head out on the road to square off against Little Elm at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Guyer, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Guyer Wildcats face off against the Flower Mound Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
