Football Recap: Keansburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Keansburg extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They received a blow as they fell 21-6 to the Monmouth Regional Falcons. The Titans were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

As for Monmouth Regional, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly 15 points.

Monmouth Regional's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Corwin, who threw for 216 yards and three TDs. Corwin's passing game has become a key predictor of the Falcons' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Tyler Gustafson helped Corwin out on the ground, rushing for 141 yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Keansburg will square off against Lakewood at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Titans will be up against the Piners' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Monmouth Regional, they will take on Shore Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
