Recap: Lackey Chargers vs. Great Mills Hornets
The Lackey Chargers's 20-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. The match between Lackey and Great Mills wasn't particularly close, with Lackey falling 56-37. If Lackey hoped to take revenge for the 39-20 defeat against they when the teams met on Wednesday, then they were left disappointed.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Great Mills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Telisa Adams, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Adams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Jaliyah Brown was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Lackey's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Great Mills, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.
Lackey will look to defend their home court on Friday against St. Charles at 5:00 p.m. St. Charles is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Great Mills, they will take on Calvert at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Calvert is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
