Softball Recap: Waconia Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Waconia faced off against Jefferson on Wednesday. The Wildcats lost 14-2 to the Jaguars. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Waconia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ady Dhaene, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Waconia's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Jefferson, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waconia will take on Orono at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jefferson, they will square off against Minnetonka at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Jaguars 1.3, the Skippers 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
