Volleyball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Del Norte Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Highland had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-23.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Del Norte, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Highland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against West Mesa on the 28th. As for Del Norte, they will take on Rio Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
