Baseball Recap: Central Linn Comes Up Short

Central Linn fell victim to Culver and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Cobras have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Central Linn got a good showing from Beau Snyder, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, Snyder gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, Central Linn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daine Offutt, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Central Linn's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Culver, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-2-1.

While Central Linn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
