Football Recap: Pflugerville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pflugerville was the 47-7 winner over Hays when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 35-31 to the Hawks on Friday.

Despite the loss, Pflugerville still got an impressive performance from Cole Taylor, who threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns.

Hays got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabriel Peach out in front who rushed for 72 yards and one score, and also picked up 97 receiving yards. Tacoma Ames was another key player, rushing for 38 yards and a pair of TDs.

Pflugerville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hays, their record is now 2-0.

Looking ahead, Pflugerville will face off against Fort Bend Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hays, they will take on Hendrickson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give Hays their first taste of in-conference action this season.
