Baseball Recap: Poway Takes a Loss

Poway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Pasqual Golden Eagles. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Luke Prigmore was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Poway saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trenton Uyeda, who went 3-for-6 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Uyeda brought in this season.

Poway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for San Pasqual, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Poway has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 win against Santa Fe Christian on the 27th. As for San Pasqual, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Rancho Buena Vista on the 27th.
