Volleyball Recap: Crescent Valley Takes a Loss

Crescent Valley and Bend squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Crescent Valley had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Lava Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lava Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Ashlin Lockman paced Crescent Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lockman got some help from Lela Campos and her 32 assists. Georgia Vawter controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Crescent Valley's loss dropped their record down to 31-4-2. As for Bend, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Crescent Valley has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Crater on the 8th. As for Bend, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against South Albany on the 8th.
